At first the directions were a bit confusing to understand however once we got the hang of it we were on a roll. It’s one of those games where everything falls into place once you start playing.

Hand and Foot Canasta is perfect for 4 players although more can play as long as you have an even number of players. The games includes 4 decks of cards for 4 times the fun. The cards have been created with point values pictured on them for easy play and learning. We had a blast and I truly cannot wait until we get together to play again.

Priced at less than ten dollars, Hand and Foot Canasta is the perfect gift and holiday stocking stuffer. It’s a great twist on the classic Canasta game!

Mom Giveaways: This past weekend was my brother’s birthday so when we went to his birthday dinner I brought the game along.  We quickly got a group of four to play and started playing. Once we played a couple of rounds and got the hang of things we started to really enjoy the card game.  I really enjoyed playing Canasta Hand & Foot and I’m looking forward to the next time my family can get together to play.

The way I see it: We are big time game players at our house. We love board games, Wii and card games alike. Even our young grandchildren enjoy playing games. I’m a firm believer that playing games teaches sportsmanship because everyone, occasionally, must learn to loose graciously.

An Island Review: I have to admit that I was a little confused at first but after reading the rules a few times, I realized that it was very similar to Gin Rummy except that the groups of cards that you put down are a little different. The whole goal of the game is to beat your opponent by scoring more points. You score points by melding cards, and making as many canastas as possible. A canasta is a meld of at least seven cards of the same rank.

Our Seven Qtpies: I tested it out with the ladies at Ladies Night Out. It was really a fun game, and easy to learn. Only two of us had played Hand and Foot before. Now, if you know anything about Canasta games, everyone has their own rules, so that was fun, deciding which of our rules applied, lol. The game does have a very complete set of rules, and they are easy to follow and learn.  

That is why I was delighted with the polka dot package that a cute flower hair barrette from Your Couture Kid  arrived in. All I need do is add a tag and I have a darling little gift. 

 

 

Amanda: Lately Sam has been wanting to wear flowers so I was really excited when we received the cute flower hair clip from Your Couture Kid. Sam gets a lot of compliments on her clip and I have to agree, it really is adorable! Your Couture Kid has adorable items great for baby showers to birthday parties. You can find some great boutique items.

 

Maria’s Space: The ponytail holder is beautiful, colorful unique. Even the package the ponytail holder comes in is cute and swanky. It was so cute I didn’t want to open it. You get a whole lot of swank for very few bucks. These are great stocking stuffers and because they are not made with ribbons, older girls who feel they are “aren’t babies” anymore won’t mind wearing them.

 

Sheltered not Shattered: This particular hairbow is very well put together. the flowers and beads are tied to the pony tail holder with a black mesh ribbon which can barely be seen from the top. It was very comfortable to wear. I know little girls everywhere will love all the bright colors available.

 

Mama Sparkles: Your Couture Kid is one of those great online destinations. It has everything in one place for your tot, from clothes, to shoes, to accessories, to baby gear, this store’s got it covered. I received an adorable flower hair barrette and it’s beautifully made. The paper flowers are stacked together with precision and the shiny bead is sewn in the center for the finishing touch.

 

From Melissa’s Desk: I had the pleasure of receiving one of their handmade hair barrettes similar to the one on the left. It is adorable! It’s very well made and not too big or too small. What a refreshing change to the everyday hair ribbon.

 

Mommy Blog Reviews: When I received the headband from Your Couture Kid in the mail, I did not expect my girls to turn into extreme fighting champions trying to be the one to wear it first. And yet…that’s exactly what happened. It seems the initial “cuteness” factor was too much for my girls and they each felt there could be no taking turns, they wanted to be the one to wear it first.

 

Red Sox Mommy: My daughter received a headband from their line of hair accessories She was so excited to wear her “bandy head.” Just look how happy it made her! Needless to say, she LOVES it!

Brain Foggles: With the help of Family Review Network, I received a headband. It is made of blue ribbon woven over a red headband. It is just perfect! It was packaged in a plastic gift bag. No need to wrap. Maybe just add a bow and it’s ready to go! Any of these hair accessories would be very nice gifts, even stocking stuffers.

 

The Clan McLeod: We love the fun colors and unique construction of these hair accessories! The Princess has already made it known that she needs many more to match her various outfits!

When I had the opportunity to try Candles by Victoria I was excited but a bit hesitant. I’m quite sensitive to scents and can get a headache just walking past the candle or potpourri shops in the mall. Not so with Candles by Victoria. I received a “Spiced Apple Pie” candle in Victoria’s country style jar. The jar has a wide mouth to allow a full scent release and I’m telling you, this candle smells so good! The Spiced Apple Pie scent adds a warm and inviting atmosphere to my whole house!

 Rockin’ Mama: We received the Caramel Hazelnut Cream candle to review and all I can say is that it makes my house smell like somebody is baking something yummy!  I have already burned it for hours and it has barely melted. 

 

Forgetfulone: The creamy wax burns evenly. There is very little wax build-up on the jar. That means you really get your money’s worth since you won’t have “left-overs” on the jar. The wax is completely consumed. I have burned this candle for hours and hours, so it’s one that it going to last a long time.

 

Kristen McLane: The first feature I noticed about my candle (and in my opinion what sets it apart from other candles) was it’s powerful scent. The explanation for this is that each candle from Candles By Victoria is triple scented using 100% pure fragrance oils. I left the lid off of my candle jar overnight and the fragrance had permeated throughout my entire house by the next morning without even lighting the candle!

 

The Way I See It: The candle I received in the mail was packed securely with no chance of damage. That’s always nice because I loathe returning items by mail. The candle not only smelled incredible while burning but the scent also filled the house with just the lid off the jar.

Cutie Booty Reviews: The t-shirt is made of 100% cotton and is clearly quality material. It has a nice weight to the fabric and did not shrink in the wash. The one thing that I would suggest when purchasing is to go up a size because the clothes seem to run a bit small.

Our Seven Qtpies: I adore his shirt, and so does Sam. It is so soft and fits him so well. Sam usually likes to be out of his clothes, but he even slept in this shirt. I know it is comfortable if he is willing to sleep in anything, because normally he won’t sleep until his clothes are off.

Just a Mom’s Take on Things: Uncommonly Cute has some of the most descriptive shirts for babies and kids that I’ve ever seen. I was cracking up at so many of the sayings, like “Famous on Facebook”, “I’m kind of a big deal”, ‘”Peace, love & cookies”, and “Word to Big Bird”.  These are so very different from the generic butterflies, flowers, trucks or sports designs that you find everywhere else on kids’ clothes – it’s so refreshing and fun to see some other great options.

A Wrestling Addicted Mommy: I was able to grab the cutest Lil Democrat tee for my youngest. Now her views may change as she grows older, because let’s face it, her views right now are our views as her parents, but I just loved that she could be a little supporter for change. Their sizes range from newborn up to a size 6, which is great because I can do all my shopping for both girls and find them some hip new shirts all in one spot!

An Island Review: We found the tee to be made from a very soft cotton which was great since Baby Bug has this thing about wearing clothes. Her preference is to spend the day in just a diaper so I knew that if the shirt wasn’t ultra-comfortable, she wouldn’t wear it long enough to even get a photo of her in it. Well, judging by that smile on her face it’s safe to say that she loves it! And if she loves it then I do, too!
